examples of such experiences include losing to MTSU at home at basketball, or losing to western michigan on a neutral site.
the bunker is a land that is devoid of criticism and nay saying. everything is fine, everything is fine.
Here we are not going to talk about how our QB has regressed from 3 weeks ago. Or how our offensive playmakers are beating one another senseless in after the games.
or how we have 2 outstanding DBs that are complemented by 2 that quarterbacks can pick on worse than the fat kid in a game of dodgeball.
I will hear none of it, I am safe here in the bunker, and they cant hurt me with their words.

It's not the end of the world. It's not like we play an elite team and an underappreciated ranked team to end the season. Oh wait...
Its hard to get frustrated right now with Illini sports when this week marks a turning point in the basketball program....yeah thats right its the Early Signing Period, and the Illini are about to sign a top ten recruiting class. As Illini fans we should be used to cheering up a bit when bball season comes around. I dont know how this bball team will perform this year, but signing a recruiting class like this makes me excited about Illini sports this week. Thus, at least right now, I'm not going to let this football loss dampen what is to be an exiting time for our bball program. So your gloomy blog post cant take away my Illini spirit, no matter how hard u are trying to be a negative nancy..kidding, but cheer up this is a good week for Illini sports, no matter how much our football team is underperforming.
